The bell has struck twelve, the new year has begun, and good intentions are ringing all around us. But why limit them to personal goals such as eating healthier or scrolling less? What if we take a bigger approach: within your organization, your projects and your way of working together? At TeamValue, we see good intentions as the opportunity to take a fresh look at your organization. That's why we'd like to share a number of ideas that inspire us, and maybe challenge you, to make a difference in 2025.

1. Start with value

It all starts with value. How often do projects with big ambitions and a technical plan start only to get the question halfway: “What does this actually mean?” Value-driven work means asking exactly that question beforehand and having the answer clear before diving into solutions. For us, this is a conscious choice in every process.

What would happen if more organizations embraced this? It can be as simple as starting each project with a joint session where you clearly define the goals. What is the impact? Who are you doing this for? Where do you really want to go?

2. Make transparency a priority

Transparency is a key to success. Trust is not only built through results, but also by communicating clearly along the way. Too often, progress and challenges remain invisible, resulting in frustrations. How different is it when you make processes visible and measurable?

Think of a simple dashboard that gives everyone access to progress, or weekly updates where you are honest about what is going well and what could be better. Transparency prevents surprises and helps everyone — from team members to stakeholders — stay engaged.

3. Encourage business ownership

Change only really starts when the people within your organization feel responsible. Too often, IT projects are seen as an “IT party”, while the impact is mainly felt in the business.

Business ownership creates engagement and ensures that solutions really work. This requires awareness and guidance, but it provides results that are not only sustainable, but are also supported by the organization itself.

4. Automate to innovate

Everyone knows that automation can save time and errors, but the real strength of automation lies in what makes it possible. By automating routine work, there is room for innovation. Space to think about strategy instead of always putting out fires.

It starts with small steps: which processes take the most time and can be automated? Once up and running, you'll see what automation can mean for the entire organization.

5. Dare to experiment

Finally, perhaps the most important thing: keep experimenting. Standstill is decline, and it's tempting to stick to what works. But without experiments, you'll never discover what could be even better.

Small pilots, testing new technologies, or just trying something different — it may take a bit of guts, but it often provides surprising insights. Dare to fail, learn and apply it.

Make 2025 a golden year

2025 offers an opportunity to think and act differently. Imagine what is possible if you put value first together, embrace transparency, encourage ownership, automate where possible, and make space to experiment.

We believe that these are the building blocks of a future-proof organization.

So, what will be your good intentions this year? We're ready to make 2025 an impactful year with you.
